A physician with post-graduation in Marketing and MBA, Fábio Rosito worked for over 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry in Germany and in the USA. At the moment his focus is the Medical Affairs and Sales Force Efficiency (in partnership with pharmexx Brasil).
How important is it for the Pharmaceutical industry to provide the patient some kind of support?
Biotech products and specific clinic trials
“The patient support department is very relevant for the pharmaceutical industry and it tends to develop throughout the years, as we have increasingly seen more biotech products in the portfolio. Besides, the clinical trials that guide the target therapies have been more present and the complexity of the business has grown, therefore, more investment is required not only to guarantee access but especially to assure awareness of patients and care givers. As a result, we have a better guarantee that the medications are used accordingly and the expectations are aligned and met.”
Patient´s support
“It is crucial for the pharmaceutical industry to develop support programs to the patient that may increase the therapeutic efficiency of their drugs, by increasing the quality of living of patients”, adds Rosito. According to the executive, some premises are required for this kind of project. “The main premises concerns matching the patients, care givers and customers´ needs with the capacity of the pharmaceutical industry of providing those services, via partners who are able to attend technically and ethically the corporate prerequisites: mission, vision and compliance”.
Customization
For Efficiency and Sales Force projects, the MMFR Assessoria em Serviços counts on a solid partnership with pharmexx Brasil. “One of the greatest advantages of pharmexx is to bring in its DNA the customization of each project”, he says. “When it comes to support programs to patients, it is not different. We will also have the same DNA and we will attentively hear the needs and opportunities of all players involved to draw programs that might meet those needs and maximize the opportunities”.
