In this edition, Top Team proposes five themes to a Healthcare professional, who briefly talks about them. Our guest in this edition is Ana Carolina Gomiero, the Galderma Acne franchise manager. According to Gomiero, “the Internet breaks the barriers of shame for those ones who are still in doubt.” Read it below:

Top Team: The site as a communication tool for the pharmaceutical industry.

Ana Carolina Gomiero: The pharmaceutical industry should use the site more often, as we can see the Internet has been increasingly accessed by people who want to obtain information on healthcare and well being. Besides making the search for information easier, the Internet breaks the barriers of shame for those ones who are still in doubt.

Top Team: The aim of the new portal www.acne.com.br

Ana Carolina Gomiero: Its aim is to solve doubts on acne, motivate the treatment and establish a constant communication with the audience. The portal is a reference to problem solutions besides a stimulus for people who want to go to a dermatologist and start a treatment.

Top Team: The target audience of the portal.

Ana Carolina Gomiero: They are teenagers between 11 and 20 years old. We chose this audience as they are the ones who really suffer with oily skin problems and consequently, the acne. Researches show that 80% of the teen population all over the world has acne.

Top Team: Some links in www.acne.com.br

Ana Carolina Gomiero: The site has links that explain what acne is, how the skin is formed, which are the causes of pimples and blackheads, the types of acne, available treatments, how to prevent from having scars, frequently asked questions and answers and a list of dermatologists nationwide. Besides, the site is weekly updated with hints on fashion, beauty, sports, arts and a forum so that Internet users can exchange messages.

Top Team: The portal layout.

Ana Carolina Gomiero: As the site was created to focus on the teen audience, its layout (a battle against acne) and its texts speak directly to the young readers as a way of having a total rapport with its audience.
