Purchases made online increase every year. In 2005, for example, they increased 25% and dealt with R$ 227 billion, according to a research made by the E-business Brazilian Association. Those numbers show a new trend, but at the same time they concern us. By the way, do purchases made by using the mouse may, somehow, make the consumer take risks?
Emerson Alecrim, specialized on internet and the owner of Infowester site, says that consumer can buy online safely as long as he is careful enough. By talking to Top Team, the consultant recommended some safe tips to internet users, as you can see below:
- Prefer well-known sites;
- Check if the store has complaints and if they at least try to solve all complaints;
- Check if the store has phone number for contact, address, privacy policy and if they accept returning product. If they don’t, I recommend not doing business;
- Do not trust if the store offers very low prices and little information about their products;
- Check if the site shows a lock symbol at the bottom right corner of the screen or if the address is shown as https:// instead of http:// at the moment you make a deal. It is a guarantee that your data are protected
