The German  Horstfried Läpple took the presidency of Bayer in Brazil. The executive started working in the group in 1980, in Leverkusen, Germany, in several departments, such as the Corporate Organization and Strategic Planning. The first international experience happened in 1986, when Läpple took the Strategic Planning & Marketing Research, by Bayer from Japan.
