Commitment and responsability
Nearly 1,500 executives are expected to attend the 31º “Lupa de Ouro” Award (Golden Magnifying Glass), which will take place on November 30 at Via Funchal. As a whole 205 work papers were registered in 14 categories including web sites, market intelligence, generics business performance, business performance and the special award.
The prescription campaign category, divided into five therapeutic segments had 102 registers, more than the prescription launch category with 18, MIP campaign with 17 and Hospital campaign with 14.
During the first phase in September, a jury of physicians and marketers selected the five best works from each category. Now, in October, these works will be presented to the jury, which will define the final ranking and choose the winners to be announced on November 30. Such work is so confidential that a member of the jury does not know who the other member chose.
Environment Management – In this edition, Grupemef, the creator of the event, had the theme “Commitment and Responsibility” in order to reinforce the need for the pharmaceutical industries to expand the Corporate Social Responsibility and then use the three R´s of environmental management: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. “Every citizen must be committed to nature conservancy”, concludes Antônia Rodrigues, Grupemef administrative manager.
Neutralization

For the first time, the “Lupa de Ouro” Award will be neutralized, that is, all CO2 emmitted during or prior to the event will be compensated by planting native trees. “In accordance with the theme chosen for the 2007 edition, we will try to compensate the environmental impacts caused by the event directly or not, from the emission of pollutant gases and the production of organic waste to the use of gas kitchen, electricity and paper.”, explains Midori Yamamoto, the Lupa´s organizer.
Such neutralization process is done by pharmexx Brazil, one of the corporate sponsors of the event. According Angélica Leone Rossetti (see picture), director of the company´s Social Action department, the idea is to show the pharmaceuticals´ professionals that it is time to “cure” the Planet.
