In a market where there is fierce competition, it is crucial to be aware of new technologies to boost the contributors´ team skills. Even professionals who perform their activities succesfully end up changing positions and increasing results.

From the contributor’s point of view it isn’t worth complaining and saying that they do not agree with companies whose policy is to provide their employees career plan because those ones who do not update and sharpen their skills will hardly grow. That’s why a big number of professionals are aware of the importance of being constantly updated and informed. Taking a post-graduation course or analyzing which course would be valuable to the company looks simple but choosing the wrong course and regreting have been quite common.

Over the last years our country has reached amazing numbers of exportation and even small companies have established international links. As a consequence, speaking a second language became a must, even more important than having a post-graduation degree, as it is one of the most required skills for the professionals who want to find their market space and increase their professional range.

Professionals and companies have had a great feedback from this market change.

The ones who complain end up being stuck while the others turn the “crisis” into a growth opportunity.

Hints for companies

Invest on your Human Resources department and do not confuse People Management with Personnel department, as this is one of the biggest mistakes in growing organizations. If your company does not have skilled professionals, contact a career consultation service able to reveal hidden skills and talented professionals within the group.

Hints for professionals

If you haven’t tried yet, stop and write down on a piece of paper your career plan. Think about where you want to be within 2, 5, 10, 20 years. You must have a goal, be cautious but believe in your potential, study, read every day, speak two or more languages and try to love what you do.
